OBS problems

This is probably the worst recording software I've ever used I try using it to make youtube videos and it has worked sometimes but there are plenty of times where the screen will just go black and it will record black the entire time and I used to use game capture to record my games but that stopped working and it would only record black so I had to start using the full screen thing which required more effort in editing and I reset obs to see if I somehow messed up game capture and it continued to not work I looked up tutorials on how to do it and it wouldn't work but it isn't a huge deal so I continued using it but it will randomly just not record my microphone so I'll have the microphone all plugged in and set up and it will just change the audio device to my headphones on its own without asking or me doing it so I will have a silent video or more recently I plugged it in got it all set up recorded a test video to make sure it was in fact recording my microphone and it was so I started playing the game and recorded and it did not record any audio again and gave me a completely silent video and now I can upload a silent video or go back through and reset the game mess up the first playthrough experience and not have anything special happen because I know what's going to happen because the software decided it didn't need to record my audio. This is not the first time it has done it to me either I have had it do it to me multiple times and I'm tired of getting screwed over by a sucky recording software I have had better experiences with the Xbox game tab and I will be going back to it until I find another recording software.
